How to Apply

Keystone is a school community dedicated to nurturing academic excellence, creativity, discovery, and compassion within its student body. We are looking for students who are ready to handle a rigorous academic program that embodies high expectations. We also seek to bring together a group of bright, broadly talented students, and we will help them to develop and grow in intellectual, physical, social, and cultural realms.

A qualified student is one who is likely to find success in the Academy's bilingual, residential, university preparatory program. This determination shall be made by Keystone through a variety of means. We are looking for students who bring a unique set of qualities to their class at the Academy, and who distinguish themselves in their potential, their academic performance and the various components of our admission application.

Evaluating each application is a privilege that we take seriously. We look forward to getting to know applicants and their families better over the next several months.

To assist you in this process, you will find a checklist below, by grade level, which explains the various requirements you must meet in order to complete your application. Please read all of the instructions carefully.

Applicants for Foundation year to Grade 1

Due to the high volume of interest in Foundation and Grade 1 and the limited number of places in our Keystone Observation Days, there is a limit to the number of applications we can consider for each grade. Interested families should start the process as soon as possible as we will cap the number of applications to each grade at 380 students. We will consider applications, in the order received, of those families who have completed step 1 below, until we reach our limit. This will allow us the chance to give every Keystone applicant the same level of attention in our process.

Please note that we have reached the application cap for Grade 1, therefore we are no longer accepting Grade 1 applications for the 2020-21 school year. We are approaching the cap for Foundation year. If you are interested in applying, please apply as soon as possible.

1. Submit the Application Form and Pay the Fee The Application Form is the first step in our application process. We ask that you submit it as early in the process as possible. You can complete the online application through our application service with inResonance Inc. The application will include sections for both the applicant and the parents to complete. Click here to access the application. Our non-refundable application fee is 2000RMB or $290 USD. If you cannot afford the application fee, you may contact our office to request a fee waiver. You may pay the application fee by bank transfer using the instructions below, or by paying cash in person at Keystone’s Finance Office. Please indicate the student's name and date of birth when making your payment. Applications will not be processed until the application fee or waiver has been received.
